The Father Raphael McCarthy Assembly #2294 was founded on September, 19, 1992. The primary purpose of the Fourth Degree is to foster the spirit of patriotism by promoting responsible citizenship and a love of and loyalty to the Knights' countries through active membership in a local Fourth Degree group. The most visible aspect is the Color Corps. The Color Corps of the Knights of Columbus are the uniformed members of the Fourth Degree. They are the ones that are most noticeable at church and public functions, parades, etc. They also escort the Bishop and Archbishop
Any Third Degree member in good standing, one year after the anniversary of his First Degree, is eligible for membership in the Fourth Degree. The primary purpose of the Fourth Degree is to foster the spirit of patriotism by promoting responsible citizenship and a love of and loyalty to the Knights' respective countries through active membership in local Fourth Degree groups (called "assemblies"). Certain members of the Fourth Degree serve as honor guards at civic and religious functions, an activity that has brought worldwide recognition to the Knights of Columbus.
Meetings:
- Rosary prayer precedes every Assembly meeting starting at 7:00 P.M.
- Assembly Meetings are held every Second Thursday of each month starting at 7:30 p.m.
