The Knights of Columbus is an order of Catholic gentlemen committed to the exemplification of charity, unity, fraternity, patriotism, respect for life and defense of the priesthood.
It executes this mission by striving in charitable works; serving the Church and being unified in following its teachings; supporting brother Knights in their temporal and spiritual needs; acting for the good of their country; and giving aid to widows, orphans, the sick and the poor. It is firmly committed to the protection of human life, from conception to natural death, and to the preservation and defense of the family. It was on these bedrock principles that the Order was founded over a century ago and remains true to them today.
Council 10205 was chartered by the Supreme Council of the Knights of Columbus on December 19th, 1989. Our Founding Officers were Raymond (Ray) F. O'Shea, Grand Knight, Jack Lannen, Financial Secretary and Hap Carpenter, Deputy Grand Knight. Father Michael Walsh was the first Chaplain and attended every meeting. The founders chose to name the council after the patron St. Thomas More. Council 10205 is affiliated with St. Thomas More Parish in Centennial, Colorado and is over 250 members and growing.
For over twenty years, our members have donated countless hours of service in support of our Parish and the local community. Our specific areas of focus are Church, Youth, Council, Community and Family. Our members have raised and donated tens of thousands of dollars to various charities and volunteer organizations through Council Bingo programs, Lenten Fish Fry’s, dances and raffle drawings. Yearly we collect tons of non perishable food items and gift cards for local food banks. Our annual Parish St Patrick’s Day Dinner, Fall Dinner, and Lenten Fish Fry’s have entertained St Thomas More parishioners for years. These activities and many more highlight the Councils dedication to our Order and the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.
